Faithful replicas of the Des Townson designed Zephyr are now available. The first hull by builder Robert Brooke for his own use has been completed, followed by #502. Construction has now been moved to Horizon Boats, with whom we have placed orders up to #510.
Hulls are of triple skin diagonal construction in three layers of 2.2mm radiata, bonded with resorcinol or epoxy glue as per the traditional boats
The ZOA is now in a position to take orders for boats at various stages of construction as in the table below.

ZOA has determined the cost of building hulls for prospective owners in three stages. Note that costs for stages 2&3 are labour only as some buyers may request specialty timbers.
TERMS

A payment to ZOA of $1500 is required with order

Hull payment is supplied through ZOA boat registration

ZOA would issue a builing consent in writing to conform with Zephyr rules and any additional work required.

It is agreed that all communication will be between the ZOA and the prospective owner. Progress can be viewed by arrangement with the builder.

Delivery to owners address is the responsibility of the ZOA. Hull to be sealed and wrapped where delivery is undertaken by a cartage contractor.

ZOA carries no insurance. The owner has the responsibility to advise the carrier and ZOA of any damage in delivery.

Full and Final Payment is due on delivery

The contracted price includes a survey of the completed hull, foils and rigging and the issuing of a ZOA Certificate of Registration
Stage one is a fixed contract price and the only variation at no change in cost will be alteration to the rear bulkhead configuration.
