Life is a bit quiet in Zephyr Land at the moment. The winter series is underway in Auckland, and Hamilton sailors are making their way across to Tauranga for their winter series.
Des Townson was honoured in the Queen's Birthday Honours list, being made a Member NZ Order of Merit. It's an award that has drawn very favourable comment from the NZ sailing community.

Zephyr Nationals 2008
Sam Meech, sailing #236 took out the 2008 Zephyr Champs in convincing fashion, heading of a strong 49 boat field. Conditions were generally light except for 15+ knots in the final race. More details to follow.
