The 2011 Burnsco HYC Regatta will be taking place on Sat 19 and Sun 20 Feb at Lake Rotoroa. The regatta is open to all centreboard sail boats up to 4.5m in length. The following classes have competitive fleets regularly sailing on the lake; Farr 3.7, Laser (standard, radial, and two 4.7's), Zephyr, Starling, P-class, Optimist. Other classes are welcome, though Lake Rotoroa is small, shallow and confined so high performance skiffs and foiling craft will find the venue difficult.
Frostplys and Mistrals are especially welcome as HYC is trying to encourage some double-handed sail boat racing.
Great venue for spectators, wonderful hospitality and sumptuous food - lunch and dinner!!
